Wow what a day...

Bristol Utd only had one team to enter on this occassion but what a fantastic advertisment for our club.

Boiling hot day, focussed teams all around with hunger in their eyes, coaches doing final preperations getting ready for the off.

A great start for our team with good attacking football a real pleasure for the onlookers, Our play was solid with new boy Aaron between the sticks stopping what little came his way. Charlie Thompson, Mason Wilson & Thomas Broome formed a solid wall of defence which inspired confidence for our midfield to play without fear or concern. Miles Scott was as ever the workhorse of the team defending and attacking when required linking up with our flamboyant playmaker Lucas Tomlinson. Jake Henderson was superb on the right firing in crosses all day long to our striker Alexander West who was clinical in the box.

Not a bad start to our tournament journey, Boys; you all should be proud of what you achieved on this day by standing strong together against some of the best teams in Bristol. Parents you were all fantastic with your consistant support for the managers and the players making the club what it is today.

A huge well done to Bristol United Under 13's who have won the Avon Youth League Fair Play Award for the 2009-10.

This award is decided on the conduct of players, supporters and club officials and is voted for by the referees, opposition clubs and league officials. As there are over 60 clubs in the league this is a fantastic achievement.

Well Done to all involved with the Under 13 team.

Registration day will be 19th June at the Netham between 10.00-12.00. Please make sure you bring 4 passport size and a copy of the players birth certificate. All forms can be printed from the website (click on club and then forms). If you are unable to make it on the day please contact Julie.

This years AGM will be held on July16th at The Netham Pavillion 7.30-8.30.
